The articles module acts very much like the news module, but is orientated towards articles that maintain relevancy with time.  From the Start Page, click on the articles icon (highlited in red below).

This will bring you to the articles editor.  There are three parts to the article editor that you should note.

  1. Links to switch between items and categories.  Items are the actual articles, and categories are the categories they exist as.
  2. The visual editor
    1. Announce tab.  Put a brief description here
    2. Body tab.  Put the full article here.
    3. Options tab.  Various options are set here.  Most of these will be auto generated, so do not worry about these.
  3. Item organizer.  This is used to publish/unpublish an article, open an article using the edit button , or delete an article using the delete button .
  • To edit an article, click the edit button  in the item organizer.
  • To toggle whether a article is published (viewable), click the publish button in the item organizer.  This will change the icon image to represent the change.
  • To delete an article, click the delete button  in the item organizer.
  • If you check the boxes next to the articles, you can use group buttons to publish, unpublish, or delete multiple articles.  The group buttons are at the bottom left of the item organizer.
  • Category is used to organize articles.  When in the article's page on your website, the articles will be grouped in the categories.
  • Author is where you credit the author of the article.
  • Source is where you credit where you got the article from or where you got the information for the article from.
  • Header is the headline for the article, used by the Article Announce specbloc.
  • The Announce tab defines the quick description used in the Article Announce specbloc, where you would put a summary.
  • The Body tab is where you would put the full article.
  • The Options tab is where you would define keywords for searches, or set a page not to show in lists (such as the Article Announce specbloc), or define a page description.
