The FAQ module is used to create a FAQ page. FAQ stands for 'frequently asked questions'. FAQ's are great places to put questions that get asked often, or information about your site, product, or services that anybody should know about. It also serves as a direct method for browsers of your web page to ask a question by creating FAQ questions that need answered.

Like many other modules, the FAQ module is split into two parts, the item organizer and the visual editor.

  1. In the item organizer, you can remove, edit, and publish/unpublish FAQ's. Use the delete button to delete a FAQ, the edit button to edit a FAQ, and the publish button to publish/unpublish a FAQ. Unanswered questions will have their text bolded. Questions asked are, by default, created unpublished, and require publishing them before they appear on the website.
  2. The visual editor operates much like the site map visual editor. The question tab is where you edit the question asked and the answer tab is where you edit the answer for the question. You can change keywords, change the link, or hide the FAQ from announce lists in the options tab. Author is where you put in the author's/asker's name. E-mail is where the e-mail of the sender is inputted/displayed and is not on the web site as it is used to automatically send responses out. Subject is where the category of the FAQ item is changed. New subjects can be created by inputting into the 'create new subject' input box, or by clicking on the 'Subjects' link underneath 'Frequently Asked Questions' on the left link bar of the CMS.
