The search module is used to provide a method for searching through your page. There are two parts to it, the search history and indexing. The search history is used to see the various things people have searched for in your website, and indexing is used to optimize the search and determine what gets pulled up for what searches.

From the start page, click on the search module icon.

This will bring you to the search history side of the module. Before anybody can search your site, however, you will need to index it. Click on the 'Indexation' link in the left hand menu. This will bring you to the indexation screen. Click the indexation button, and the CMS will index your entire site to be searchable with the search module.

  1. The item editor is used to view or delete searches.
  2. The sidebar has two links; Search history and Indexation. Indexation is used to index your site, which is the process of pulling out keywords and optimizing the search database.

Before any accurate searches can be made, you must index your site. Every time you edit a page, you must reindex your site to pick those changes up.

Note: For the search module to be effective, you will need either a search type page, or have the quick search specbloc inserted somewhere in your page.
